NATURE'S SPLENDORS: PUMPKINS

Fall is here and so are the pumpkins! As you may have noticed by now, I get a real kick out of seeing how edible things grow.
I came across this field near our new home in southern Provence, a region which is better known for its cherries, olives and lavender. The region is so rich, it grows almost everything from apricots, apples and pears to the famous melons of Cavaillon. Not to mention the many vineyards that are responsible for your next great glass of Rosé! And now, as fall has just arrived, the pumpkins are being harvested here, which means that you'll soon be able to enjoy your favorite autumn soup!
